Buyers can rest assured that the watch they are purchasing is secured and insured throughout the buying process and beyond. Buyers no longer need to worry about immediate collection / delivery of the watch or any tampering with the item post checkout process. Once you checkout via OpenChrono, the watch is yours, it is safely secured and insured at all times. OpenChrono's standard enforce that all watches listed on the platform must be :

• Securely vaulted & insured

• Expertly condition reported & authentication checked

• Accurately photographed

• A warranty set must be produced which protects the buyer in the event that the asset differs from the condition report

Warranty Framework

When a watch is purchased via OpenChrono the buyer takes ownership of the physical watch via a 'digital twin'. In addition they also receive a set of enforceable warranties in the associated TimePiece Passport. This warranty set is associated to the condition and authentication report and ensures its accuracy. In the event of a major discrepancy between the watch and the report, OpenChrono will assist its customers in the dispute resolution process.

Vaulting Standards

OpenChrono does not operate its own vaults. It partners with industry experts in secure storage and logistics. All watches stored in 3rd party vaults are fully insured. Transit too and from the vault is conducted in vehicles which are manned by experienced drivers and highly-trained professional guards. Vehicles are fitted with state-of-the art security systems and tracking devices ensuring movements are under constant surveillance.
