# Authentication Process

OpenChrono has built a decentralised network of independent experts which provides its users with high accuracy condition reporting and authentication services. OpenChrono's 'Head Of Authentication' ensures that authentication experts strictly adhere to outlined processes, to ensure strict quality control and reporting consistency.<br>

## Process

#### Receive and Unpack

The authentication expert receives the asset at the authentication location.

Upon arrival, video footage is captured whilst the asset is unpacked to avoid disagreements between the receipt of the asset and the authentication process.

#### Assess

The authentication expert conducts the authentication and condition report.

#### Report

Documentation is produced to reflect the asset condition. This forms the basis of transferable warranty.

\
This documentation, along with detailed photography is uploaded on to OpenChrono's platform, and once the asset is physically vaulted the digitisation process begins.

#### Repack

The authentication expert repacks the asset with a minimum of 2 inches of protective wrapping around the original asset packaging.

\
If the watch is received with no original packaging, the watch will be boxed in 'OpenChrono' packaging.

Once wrapped in protective material, the asset is boxed in an appropriately sized cardboard box.\
\
The box is sealed with an individually numbered tamper proof seal. This seal number is attached to the documentation.

#### Vault

Once packaged, the asset is collected by an armoured logistic provider and sent to the physical vault. The asset is insured in transit by the logistics provider.

Once the asset is placed inside the vault, a record is placed in the system portal until\
its future release. OpenChrono reflects the vault inventory on its platform, providing self auditing capabilities for its users.

### Documentation Standards

Authentication experts are required to fill out condition and authentication reports for every asset that comes into the OpenChrono ecosystem.\
\
OpenChrono provides its users with unmatched transparency when it comes to authentication process and documentation.

Documentation consists of the following components:&#x20;

* *Single page asset authentication / condition report format*
* *We provides customers with a concise but detailed set of information to base decision making regarding a ‘potential purchase’.*
* *‘Tick box’ and 'text format' components*
* *Designed to be completed within minutes*
* *Provides clear and accurate documentation for utilising the underlying asset as collateral (essential)*
* *Provides asset owners with a set of warranties regarding ‘asset condition’.*
